Today I found felix, my beloved senegal chameleon dead on the bottom of his cage. I got him at the long island reptile expo two years ago. I''m just so sad, he was my only cham:(

I am so very sorry that you lost Felix. These little animals certainly have a way of getting right into our heart.

my condolences too you felix. hang in there, the little sen is in a better place! two years is a pretty heafty time for a senagal in captivity though, at least in my books. chances are, he was wc? so thats a bonus. just hang in there, im confident you did a great job keeping him/her.

aw, sorry to hear that you lost you cham. They are just like members of the family, so you have my condolences.

So sorry you lost him. We get so attached to them, and it's really not a nice feeling to lose one. Thinking of you.

You kept a sengal in captivity for 2 years, that is providing a good life for him. I am sorry you lost him. It sounds like you are a good keeper, you should look at a veiled or a panther. Life can get very lonely without a cham hem you have had one for 2 years. Some nice ones for sale here in the classified.

Sorry for your loss!

Maybe it will cheer you up knowing that as stated before, most Senegals are imported and not captive bred. Most usually they come into the country in not the best conditions.

The fact that he lived with you for over two years is to be commended, as I don't know very many people that have done that with Senegals. You must have taken excellent care of him, and I am sure that wherever he is now he is thanking you for the wonderful life you gave him.
