Hello,
I just got my first chameleon (veiled) yesterday. He seems to be doing well so far, finding lots of places to hide in his enclosure. But he didn't eat the crickets or meal worms I put in there this morning. (Side note, I spoke to someone earlier today, and they said that it is maybe not such a good idea to give juvenile chameleons meal worms - is there a general consensus on that?) He has stayed up in the branches and foliage at the top of the cage, as one would expect, and has not gone down to where the food is. I thought maybe to get a cricket close to him using the long tweezers, but that very clearly stressed him out. My wife said she saw in one woman's video that she had rigged up a food dish suspended from one of the branches in the enclosure. I'm wondering if this is normal, and he is just acclimating to the new environment and getting his bearings or how I should be handling this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
