Feeding amount

Hey everyone I am having a hard time deciding if I am feeding TRex enough food. I usually feed him about 8 or 10 give or take crickets a day which are about a 1/4 inch. He eats most of them in the morning and by later that day it looks like he prolly would eat another hand full of crickets. Should I just keep feeding him all day? Like feed him as much as he will eat?

I am not exactly sure his official age but he's around 3or 4 months. His body is about the size of an index finger.

I feed my 4 month veiled a little under 12 or exactly 12 crickets a day. Occasionally a dusted mealworm maybe once or twice a week.

at that age i made sure my guys get at least 10 a day and once or twice a week i let them pig out, upto 20 those days.

Good tactic.......
Ok so I feel better knowing that I am not way under feeding him but I could feed him a lil more and it's ok.

I gave my Veileds crickets 10ish a day, and let them pig on fruit flies some days, but 4 months, he's too big for them, so I moved to locusts. Some worms for variety, etc.
I have ordered Calciworms yesterday and they are going to kick arse - pig out time again.....
As long as he's not too skinny, or fat, and has some variety/gutloaded/dusted then it's as good as you can do.......

What's the other name of the calcium worms? Is it the phoenix worms, or waxworks, or reptiworms? And do you order them some where in England?

It's Phoenix worms, they are the larvae of the Black Soldier Fly (Chams also love this).....I haven't had any before, but just yesterday ordered online from a place in England....

At that age, feed as much as he will eat. Then cut back at around 8 months of age so he doesn't get too fat lol.

I always have food available for baby chameleons at all times, when I notice there aren't many things crawling around in their cage, I toss more in. I have some that eat probably 20 crickets/fruitflies/aphids/spiders/treehoppers a day, and some that eat maybe 7 or 8 it seems.

Each day is different, just like us.

It's a perfect time of year to go outside and find free feeders! Right now the treehoppers are emerging in my trees out front.
