so my cham has been falling lately i have no real reason for him to be and he seems to be eating and drinking well. uv is good temp is good humidity is good. the only thing that i saw that was odd was i came home one day and he was trying to eat the towel that lines the bottom of the cage?? took him out to feel his grip and it seemed fine. maybe you guys can help.

and he keeps trying to climb but falls

thats the thing during the day it stays at a 80 if i turn the lamp on it gets way to hot even if i keep the lamp way far

I kn its hard it was 114 yesterday its hard mines at about 84-86 use a lower watt bulb like 40 watts or less

my cham falls from climbing the mesh, i think thats the issue, try getting some more climbeable things... my cham still does it after i got my problem addressed, but she no longer falls, because she's got vines for quit access to the bottom and top of the cage.

he/she is just trying to be active, thats all!

So does he fall when hes perched ever? if so that would not be good, but falling while walking up the screen is sorta comon in active chams, depending on the chams toes&nails Its good to see you paying attention! That how you KEEP your cham healthy

Ya it's just the mesh. It's good to no it's nothin a put a pad so he wouldn't hit the ground

That's why I asked about the mesh. I suspect he's used to being able to climb it (having been 4 months old when you got him) but is now finding his adult "fingertips" don't fit so well through the mesh.

I agree with giving him easy access from top to bottom in a couple of places around the cage.

Is excellent for making vines. You can usually find it in the garden section of your home improvement store.

He's a very handsome chameleon!
