I am only 21, but growing up i had to pay for most of my stuff.. I started teaching karate and making money when i was 12. I then had a job at a local tree nursery at 14, then a job at a pizza place when i was 15. I wanted a phone, so i bought one myself. Kids these days are SO incredibly lazy i cant believe it. I admit, i dont like technology because thats all they do now days is sit on their phone, laptop, xbox, netflix... whatever... It bothers me that people are upset with him for doing such a thing. Why not? its HIS laptop that HE paid for. Why in the world should he pay her for doing chores..? Pretty sure he pays for her living expenses which is not exactly cheap. All i have to say is.. Kid.. Get a job, and move out and then you might realize how good you have it living with your parents.

Now , I'm considerably older than you youngsters but I'll tell you what ... I'd have preferred my dad doing that than to what I got ... lol . If I had said the things his daughter said , I'd have had dentures before I got out of grade school ... lol . Did he go to far by shooting the laptop ... maybe . But like he said , he bought it and he didn't do it where people were around to get hurt .
but i agree with the dad too! i could see my dad doing the same exact thing. "pay you for chores" haha that part made me laugh. They are giving you a roof over your head, food, clothes on your body and etc

I love what this dad did...as a mom to two teenager girls 13 and 17 almost ...watching a lot of their friends it is crazy how they act especially towards adults even their own parents!! I listen to kids TELL their parents what they are going to do ...I m just glad my kids are not like that...even my kids could not believe the way that girl acted
