eye infection

i have a 5 yr old veild chameleon with what appears to be a serious eye infection. i noticed a bump on his eye about a week ago and now it is secreating a white pus. my chameleon Nelson will scrape his eye against the limb of the branch in irritation. what can i do to stop this?

A vet will prescribe the proper medicine to treat the infection. Don't wait. We've recently seen a few keepers' chameleons loose eyesight from infections.
