There is a 6 month nosy be chameleon for sale at my local pet shop one of his eyes is sunkin into his head I think he might be blind. the petshop said they sold him but then the people reterned him because his eye never healed. they say he eats fine and they want 120 bucks for him soo I'm concerned if I buy him he will not be compleatly healthy. please respond your thoughts sorry for my horrid spelling.

Is he wild caught? $120 for a Nosy is pretty cheap.. there is probably something wrong with him. I would not purchase him if this would be your first chameleon. Try starting out with a healthy chameleon.

When you are new to chameleons, don't go buy yourself a possible problem to deal with.

You can find healthy panthers from forum members here (check the classified ads and forum sponsers) for about the same $$ and you will not have to worry about dealing with (or paying for) problems.

Don't buy it! You are only inheriting a problem, and the store should be seeking vet attention for the animal before even CONSIDERING offering it up for sale! I'm a pet shop owner, and stores like this are what gives all a bad name. Someone buying it only encourages them to replace it.

Go on fauna classifieds. Kaleidoscope Chams is selling ambilobe panthers for $99.00 bux plus shipping. Thats a great deal and its going to be a healthy cham for you to start off with. Just make sure you have all your basics set up: Cage, supplements, lighting, plants, hand mister, dripper, perches/branches, feeders, etc...

This is a chameleon that a well-experienced breeder should take and any respectful petstore should GIVE this chameleon and not try to sell it! He is meant to be rescued, not bought.

PS: your spelling is very good to me! :)
