OK, here's my story:
We had a 1.5 yo veiled. He escaped thru the open door. All we saw on our security cameras is him crossing the backyard towards our next door neighbor (my sister in law), and there's no fence between our yards.
I ran around the neighborhood for about 4 hours, even once it got dark, with headlight. But no luck...
Then in a few days my wife saw a falcon that was ripping someone with similar to chameleon colors, but she didn't see a tale.
So, we suggested that was our pure Kelvin.
We gave up, and 5 days later we ordered a new baby panther, Spider.
He leaves in Kelvin's cage now (we had 2 chams, ordered 1 and received 2 in the mail).
It's been 6 weeks since we lost our Kelvin...
Today my wife called me and said that the chameleon is probably still alive and lives at my sister's in law huge tree (about 40' wide, 20' tall), cause they found loose chameleon skin under the tree.
I took the headlight, and climbed that tree and, believe me or not, 30 min later I found him on about 17' height at the almost end of a branch.
THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE, BUT IT'S TRUE!!!
Now we have 3 chameleons!!!!!!!!!

My only concern - it's been 55 in the night for about 5 days, a week after he escaped, but mostly it was still worm (We live in Palmdale, CA, and today is 1st of October). He lost weight, probably dehydrated and his tongue is really slow - I fed him 2 super worms and 2 Dubia roaches.
He never drank water - only took some green leaves. I sprinkled him with a water and now he's asleep at our big artificial tree.
Any advise on getting him recovered are welcome.
