Hi guys! I was wondering when female veiled chameleons start to lay their eggs. I don't have a make and she hasn't been around any mates that I know of so when is she supposed to start laying the infertile ones and what do you reccomend I do?

She won't lay until she is sexually mature. She will get mustard yellow splotches and bright blue dots then.

She already has yellow slotches on her sides should I set up the Layin bin in her cage? And do I leave there all the time even when she's not laying

At the pet store they told me 8 months

Once the egglaying bin is in it should be left there except to take it out to dig up eggs or clean it once in a while.

The roots of the plant may make it hard for her to dig. She may also eat the soil somit needs to be a type that won't harm her. How are you going to dig the eggs up to count them if she lays them there?

She should get fat in the back end of her body when she's gravid. Her background color can go almost black but may not too. It's often hard tomtell which is why we put the laying bin in the cage and leave it there. When she's close to laying she will roam the cage looking for a laying site, likely drink more, may eat less, etc

I have no clue about the whole egg thing I thought she was a boy so I wasn't really expecting. Should I put a little plant pot in there? If so what should I put in it so she doesn't get hurt or eats it? Is there a specific way I should treat the eggs if the aren't fertile?
