my panther doesnt seem to just lick the leaves. i often find him actually shooting his tongue completely out on moving water. in the morning he sits on a vine, and hits like 2-5 droplets off of another vine. is this bad?

Mine hangs upside down and drinks the water still stuck to the top of my screened enclosure. I rarely see him drinking off the leaves.

I think they all have their own methods. Some of mine lick leaves, some sit on the branch or vine vertically and let it run down to their mouths and drink it, some shoot their tongues out at droplets.

i use a rodent water bottle. they like the shine of the tip and the dripping water all you need is patience cuz they wil shy away at first but stay and drip

I've learned that all the drip systems and misters
are not worth the time or mess.

All of my chams are completely used to drinking from a glass
and or directly from a flowing tap. It's sooo much cleaner that way.

If your animal is not getting enough water as a sub /adult
it's because licking leaves in the morning isn't enough to offset
their evaporation in the day.

I'll post vids and images soon enough about this
