Eating dirt!

My female Panther chameleon was found in the bottom of her enclosure today in her bin of dirt for egg laying and. But she wasn't digging she was just eating it. Is it bad for her to be eating the dirt?

What type of dirt is it? Is it organic or have fertilizers? How large is the dirt (fine or corse?)

It's organic and its combined with sand.
