Earthing

I know this is a bit random.... and may not be something that relates to chameleons (being tree dwellers as apposed to floor dwellers) but does anyone here practice 'earthing' and if so is it possible that same benefits that humans reap from it could apply to our animals in some way?

I think my wife practices earthing but it could just be that she is from the backwoods of Alabama and hates wearing shoes :p

so what would you suggest for the chameleons. They walk barefoot already!:p

Ha ha made me chuckle! I have pictures of chams in my head with little shoes on now! well the point of the bare foot thing is to reconnect with the Earth’s energy beneath our feet. This apparently has been proven scientifically to cure a multitude of ills. Walking barefoot indoors does not have any beneficial effects but walking outside on the earth, wet grass or at the beach does. There are also grounding mats etc that ppl can use indoors which have a similar effect..... my point was that most of the pet chams are indoors 24/7 with no access to the ground or living trees planted OUTSIDE and I wondered if this was a cause for concern health wise?

The technical stuff is way over my head but this may be of interest to you - http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21469913
Unfortunatly this is just an excerpt from a book but chapter 15 mentions pets here http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=...RCQ&sqi=2&ved=0CFgQ6AEwCA#v=onepage&q&f=false
