Dwarf Chameleon

I can get one of these does anybody know how to care for one? I wont rush into it but I WANT ONE lol

Rhampholeon spectrum. Is this the leaf cham?

Leaf Chameleon is Rieppeleon brevicaudatus. Ask any questions, a lot of us know the care of them. Some of us that knows some stuff will help you with any questions because a bit of us have these awesome chameleons!

No theres another sort called Rhampholeon spectrum i've seen the bearded ones it's not them. The place i'm getting it from said they are dwarf chams (Rhampholeon spectrum) I belive its called a spectral pygmy chameleon

Wicked! Basically, enclosure size, type of enclosure, Food, lighting and misting thanks.

They really arent any different then Brevs.
I keep mine in a basic pygmy enclosure.
Layers of hydroton, charcoal, then cocofiber and sand mixxed.
Plants include ferns, shefflera, photo, and a Drancea(sp).
A bunch of twigs, some bark, and a fake log.
Temps range from 70-73, and I mist twice a day.
I feed them crickets.
super easy and really cool little buggers.

Ok just a few questions though. Do they need UVB i head they only need uva (normal house bulbs)? also can topsoil be used as substrate or some other soil?

I use a reptisun 2.0, yes they need a little UVB
Topsoil turns into mud.
Try coco fiber mixxed with sand and sphagnum(sp) moss.
The moss and coco holds moisture really well and sand dosent turn into mud because of the damp conditions.

Is coco fiber a MUST i'm not sure if I can get that where I am (UK...london) sand and sphagnum moss I can get.

What else could be used could I use topsoil and sand for now?

Like Justin said, it would create mud. I don't know anything in London that would sell it. Do you have an exotic pet store?

Surely you have sphagnum peat moss in the UK?

Well go there, and ask them if they have Bed a Beast, or even just walk over to the reptile spot if they don't know what you are talking about and look for it, it looks like a brick thats brown. It has instructions on how to use it. For a 20 gallon tank, one brick thing should work. Hope this helps
