How far south are you? I can start you off with a small colony. I also have Turkistan/Red Runners and Green Bananas, if you are interested.

Yes, I believe there are many people who keep them in Florida. I think it's just Dubia that are a problem.

Interestingly I have a Dubia colony I acquired at the Daytona reptile show 9 years ago.

I would love to try the banana roaches. I bet chams go crazy for them

I would highly recommend them! Once properly set-up, I think they are easier then Dubia - no cleaning! My cham stopped eating Dubia when he was around 8 months old and hasn't touched one since, but he will eat green bananas! Even though they are fast and can fly, I have no worries about them infesting anywhere. When one escapes I find it dead in a day or two - all dried up. They really do need heat and humidity! Plus they are so darn pretty.
