Can't tell u about commercial gut loads, never use them but if they need to be kept in the fridge it should say on the package. Probably wont hurt. Some of my home made dry mix is kept in the fridge and some is not it just depends on what I put in it. All of it is kept in air tight jars to keep it fresh!!!

I keep what I use for a week or two in an air-tight jar in the reptile room, but the rest of the container goes in the fridge. I use Repashy products, for example, and he says that his products last a lot longer in the fridge so I'm taking that advice. Certainly can't hurt, I imagine.
