Hey everyone!
Yesterday my dream finally came true. For about 6 years now I have wanted a panther, but have been unable to from living in Hawaii. I recently moved to colorado, and picked up an ambanja/sambava cross from our very own forum member Joseph Farah.
First id like to thank him again for his kindness. Joe is a real nice guy and takes GREAT care of all his herps. His house was freekin awesome with all the differnt setups. If anyone is intersted in picking up a panther of his, I highly recommend getting in touch with him. In no way shape or form did Joe ask me to plug for him, but I just left with such a great feeling with an animal of his, its the least I could do.
Ok on to the pictures! (they are not the best, i couldnt keep a steady camera and i dont have a tripod yet)
His name is Sven. He was born Jan 5, so that puts him at 1 month. We both agreed that 1 month is pretty dang young to sell off, so please dont give Joe any greef about that. He would never let a panther go to an inexpierenced keeper that young. I have been keeping Jacksons for quite some time and have enough expierence and knowledge that he felt comfortable enough to sell one to me.
We both think from his coloration that he is male, but still are not 100% sure because the hemipenal glands have not developed enough yet to be visable.
In these pictures hes a bit dark still from the move and stress of a new environment, but at Joes house he really had some nice blues forming allready on his arms and face. Compared to the others, it was a safe guess that he was a male.
I cant wait to see this little guy grow! I am like a kid on christmas morning right now im so excited. Ill get some more pictures in a few days when he settles in, but for now, hes enjoying his very own room all alone without me pestering him too much! GGAHH RESIST THE TEMPTATION TO STARE AT HIM ALL DAY!!!
Thanks again Joe!
