It is very cool when they let you hold them, mine tries to open his door all the time when we are in the same room, which I am because that is where I work...I hope Picasso will always be that way.

i have little round marks on the glass where my boy strikes the glass to get attention and come out..

I can't open my tank without him running to the front to climb on me.

Put him on the carpet the other day and he was following me around like a dog!! bless!!

No such luck here (yet). My veiled sees us from across the room and does the leaf thing and nearly dives in for cover. The only time he sticks around is when he is eating, and you can see he thinks about running but decides to eat instead! Hopefully he will grow out of this because my wife doesn't believe he's in there anymore .

My 2 ambanja's & jackson do this all the time. They constantly want to be out & be held.If my daughters come over they want them to get them out too.All 3 are social butterflies. My vet gets a kick out of them being so friendly.I feel extremely lucky that I have such sweet boys

I have two veiled Chameleon's The female(debian) will just look at me hopping i will give her worms but she will never willingly come out of her cage. The male(SuSE) on the other hand as sure as death and taxes will puff up as large as he can get. gaping rocking and hissing are common with him. Never once have they been excited to leave their cage.

lamps hang from ceiling...

only had my male veiled(named minion) for a week but when i open his cage and go to put lunch in, he scurries up the cables his basking and heat lamp hang from. sometimes he gets bored and comes back down sometimes i have to get the stepladder. :D

Are the lamps inside the cage? I hear they might climb up and burn themselves by accident.

My guy doesn't hiss, but doesn't enjoy it either. I will handle him though because I want him to atleast tolerate it. When hes older, I'll have gloves on just in case. :)

Hes a male veiled.
