Does a darker color mean my Veiled is unhappy or unhealthy?

Hi, I have a one year old Veiled male chameleon and in the last couple of days I noticed that his color turns drab and darker sometimes. When I mist him or hold him, he greens right up. Should I be concerned? I just bought him 4 days ago.

what are the temps in his enclosure? He could be darkening up to thermoregulate his body and take in more heat. The color change could be an indication that he is about to shed. Or, he could just be a grumpy juvenile
