do i have to poke a hole in my screen?

just got my mistking in the mail,read the instructions about drilling a hole for the misting nozzle.do i have to do this or can i tie it to my screen top and run the hose through a crack or something? thanks

the hose will get pinchd if you try to do that.

if you can get it to work that way, go for it, but i had to cut a small hole in my screen tops so my nozzles would go through.

I didn't poke a hole in mine. It just drips through the tiny holes.

But it would probably work better if I poked a hole.

The mist is supposed to coat the leaves, not drip on them, thats kind of the point of a mist system, not a drip system.

haha, if you make it small enough thatth enozzle goes through, you can then screw the plastic washer down, and you wont be able to see it at all. I promise.

Or you can get a wire hole thing like in a desk. It closes the hole and looks pretty good actually
