Distilled water vs tap water?

Is distilled water or tap water better for chameleon to drink? And witch one is better to water your plants?

Depending on what they put in your tap water there it could damage your equipment if you run a misting system or fogger. I run RO water and in a pinch I use distilled.

I use distilled in my misting system, chameleons and plants are doing well. I occasionally water the plants with tap water. Cages get awfully ugly when misted with tap water and misting system will get clogged.

Yeah I can see the trails on plants from tap water its ugly..

I use tap water (not thru a misting system just a spray bottle) which my chams drink. I don't really have an issue with the trails on plants is the trails on the glass front of J & J's cages which are really annoying

Well you see in some countries or cities you cant drink tap water because you would mess up your stomach. I hope now you know the point of my comment.

Distilled is fine. You are giving your cham all the minerals they need in their food and supplements. I use only RO/DI with a TDS of 0 (the purest water you can get) and have no issues.

You can do either just get R/O and not spring water. They would get most of their minerals from their food and supplements. Rain and dew has very little minerals as it is basically distilled in the atmosphere.
