digging in her bucket all day!!

our female veiled cham has been digging the same hole all day today ... just wondering if anyones had any experience with veileds and there digging habits .... how long it takes for her to lay her eggs once she starts digging???

she backed up into the whole she looks like shes laying them ... i peeked on her but didnt let her see me ... wondering now how long she will take to lay them now that she has started ??

She could be done in a couple of hours...let her finish laying and filling in the hole and return to the branches before you dig them up.

Patience Rstuart. When my veiled laid her 54 eggs it took her 3-4 hours, and the same to bury them. She was pretty dehydrated and tired when she finished. I gave her a drink and she went to bed. She ate the next day.

shes finally done

she layed 52 eggs!!

the eggs are infertile ones so there wont be any pictures : (

can you tell wich eggs would be good eggs and wich arent by looking at them when they are first hatched or when your breeding do you consider every egg to be a good one??

Mist her well in the morning... Mist with HOT water in the bottle to create a warm mist for her. Spray her for a good 5-10 minutes or till your hand falls off . Then feed her well and be sure to dust her crickets with calcium. Oh, and mist some more... she'll need a lot of water after laying.

Since she wasn't with a male and all eggs are infertile they are all "bad" eggs. They will eventually mold. Keep them if you wish, but if she wasn't with a male they won't become babies.

I consider all eggs to be good when I know my female had a date with a male. I have had 2 eggs out of 4 clutches mold and go flat. All the rest remained swollen, white and really healthy looking eggs.
