digging but not laying

my first attempt at breeding veilds went smooth as silk. now i'm breeding the next generation. the female has never bred before, is 10-12 months old. and all day yesterday and now this morning she's digging holes then walking away not laying any. my first preg veil dug one hole for ten hours then was done. so now i'm worried she's eggbound. i know flaxseed oil is good for flushing out a constipated old veiled. any chance this'll work here? when do i freak out? it's been one month since she stopped letting Orbit Jr anywhere near her. substrate in egg bins is this stuff i don't know what it's called, but it comes in brick form and is for frogs. worked perfect last time, 100% hatch rate over a four day weekend.

Sometimes they can dig several test holes over a few days. Lily dug here and there for about 3 or 4 days before digging for real and going on to lay. Is the medium damp enough? She may also not like the medium you have used. I offered Lily a choice of a bin of sand and another of compost/dirt. Both times she chose the dirt over the sand.

If she sees you watching her while she is digging she will abandon the hole.

Generally the veiled females will dig several test holes before choosing one which they should then dig until they are satisfied with it. If a female never choses one then it could be that she doesn't like the substrate.

oh, i'm sure us peeping at her scared he a few times. she HATES us. but all is well now. the misses and i uncovered her 25 little jelly beans:D i'm so glad it was a small clutch, especially for her first one. King Orbit is gonna be a grandpa! (knock on wood). thanks for keeping me from freaking out about all the excessive digging, guys

thats what i'm hopping because she's still digging hours later. and we're doing our best not to make eyecontact with her.
