Difficulty shedding

I have a male rudis Cham who's having trouble shedding a piece of skin on top of his head, he shed the rest of his body and now there's just a spot on his head that's been there almost a week. The petstore near me sells Zilla shed ease for soaking or tropical mist humidifying spray which also helps shedding. Since the peice is on his head I can't soak it with the shed ease so I was wondering if the Sulla tropical mist could help? I ordered a shed ease spray but it won't be in till next Friday so should I buy the shed ease soak or the humidifying spray to use in the meantime? If I get the shed ease soak how would I apply it? Thanks

There are places on our chams that don't flex much, so shed skin can be harder to remove. I wouldn't worry overly much about one patch of old skin. What you don't want is a build up of several old stuck layers in the same spot. Keep an eye on the patch. If it doesn't drop off on its own it should come off with the next shed. Also, if you see any redness or swelling around the edges of the old skin patch that's a sign there is an infection developing underneath it.

Dabbing at it with a wet Q tip won't hurt anything if it doesn't freak your cham out too much. IMHO those shed ease products are not worth buying, and I don't really like putting anything on my chams other than water.

Ok. Thanks for the info. I already put in a order for the spray it'll b in next Friday, hopefully I won't still need it. As for the q tip thing he doesn't seem to mind, so I'll just keep at it :)

So I wet the q tip and held it against the dead skin to loosen it up a few times today and it finally just came off :) no more big white spot on his head! Yay!
