the rest is ok he eats, very active, just sheded ...

How much water are you misting? For how long? What type, and size enclosure?

A good long rain shower usually helps (20-30min).

This is a vieled cham?

This^^^, and if you have/can get some hornworms they can help hydrate. But I wouldnt recommend them more than a few times a week.

How is your dripper set up? Does it just drip from the tube? Or Do you have it set so that it drips down on to leaves?

i use bottled water , i mist like 300-500ml for one mist ! i mist like 3-5 times per day ! he is a vieled chameleon age 5 months ! enclosure screen cage 25x25x65 !yes the dripper is targeting leaves ! ps the dripper was installed 2-3 days ago ,maybe doesnt like it ? i dont know !
yesterday i cleaned his enclosure and changed things a little bit ! could this be a problem ?

and no i cant get hornworms or other type of worms....i live at the end of the world...crappy country

Well that certainly sounds like a suffcient amount of water. ;/

DO NOT FORCE LIQUIDS, unless it is an emergency. jmo

So this is a fairly recent development?
His urates were always white before?

I would say definitely give him a long shower (20-30min) and see if that helps.

To shower, you can put them on a tree/plant/branch in the shower, and let water from the shower bounce off a wall, and on to him. The water should not be hot, just almost warm, like room temp, right above room temp maybe. You do not want it cold, and really really dont want it hot!
Let his sit, with the water bouncing on to him for the 20-30min. and see how much he drinks. This wont hurt him all. You can do it everyday. Twice a day even. If he is drinking a lot of water, and he is still dehydrated, that would make me think he is sick, or has parasites, or some other sort of malady.

For sure give him the shower, and see how that goes.

he just drank 4 drops from seringe ! 1st i noticed 3 days ago that his urates have a little bit of orange !!! they were white before that ! after that he pooped and his urates were better , but after 2 days -that means today i saw that his urates are half orange and half white! ok ,i will try the shower and see what happens !

To clarify, dripping water from a syringe near/on them for them to drink is ok. (as long as its not a new-born, a drop of water could drown them ;/)

FORCING the water can be dangerous.

I think the shower will help. Let us know how it goes.

he freaked out so hard ..... he hates the showering thing .... he just wanted on my arms .... he tried to hide ... and he was just staring me with those eyes like : omg what are you doing to me ....he wanted to escape so bad ..

Was the water an appropriate temp? None of them "like" it at first really, as it is going to dramatically change their body temp, so their first reaction tends to be to hide/get away from it.

If the temp is ok, it isnt going to hurt him. ;)

yep water was at right temp a little warm ,not to warm not to cold, ill let him another 10 -15 min but i doubt he will drink, he just wants to get away ! i will try this tomorrow and maybe he will be more calm ! :( im so scared

he doesnt drink at all in the shower ....just freaks out

It may take some time before they actually start to drink. If he was in there for longer than 10min, and didnt drink, that seems weird to me. ;/

You could hand mist him for that long as well, if it makes you/him more comfortable, and you can handle the drainage one way or another.

Zuggie doesnt quite like the shower he just crawls up my arm and gets me soaked lol! But i think our shower is a bit too powerfull and cant turn it down! Even tho i let it bounce off the wall he just does the same freaks out! But gonna keep trying!! But he loves his very long warm mists in his cage tho :D

after the shower ill let him breath a while and ill start misting his cage , i go check on him brb

No fear!

A few orangish urates isnt going to harm him. A bit of water isnt going to either ;)

If he needs the water, then give him the water you shall! :p

Mine get it whether they "like" it or not, its good for them. :)

They just dont like what it does to their body temps.
This is why they freak IMO.

Mine are used to it now, I keep them outdoors now, and they get long showers everyday, and natural rainstorms when it rains.

i put him back in the cage ... he relaxed a bit , ill repeat the shower everyday till he will be comfortable to it ! ill go mist the cage but i doubt now he will want that , just in case he will want do drink ,thank you for advices , ill post again and tell you how is he doing ! tnx

Is there anything that has changed that you think might stress him, to where he wont drink in his cage?

If something is really stressing him, he wont feel comfortable enough to drink.

i cleaned his enclosure and change how things where before in there
and removed one plant that didnt go well inside ! ill try to put back the plant tomorrow and see if that changes something ! he drank water from the leaves of that plant as i recall
