Is he playing, drinking, or attacking the mister?

So, I got this new hand sprayer a few weeks ago. I'm not completely sure if Mr. Jack's trying to attack it, or drink/play with it... His urates are looking the normal white color, so I don't think he's dehydrated. He's doing this evey time I mist him... Thoughts? Is it the tip setting him off? He seems to like it...

I have found over the years that the family Chamaeleonidae has an affinity for water. That is when looking for them in the wild habitats the place I normally start looking is vegetation area's near a water source (Spring or Creeks). Plus some species enjoy water so much that they take comfort in hour long misting/rain showers. I think Mr. Jack is just enjoying himself with the water.

Try not moving it around so much and try dripping it onto a leaf instead of just letting it drip. Try slowing the rate of the drip to one drip every couple of seconds and see what happens.

I see both a desire to drink and an issue with the delivery method. Right off the bat it has a bright orange piece on the nozzle. He could be reactive to the color. Also this is something coming into his space which some do not like. The concern though for me is him drinking from it. You do not want a cham to be dependent on a person for their drinking time. Jacksons can really like water as well. This is where having an automatic misting system is a good thing because ones like the mistking deliver extremely fine mist and you can have a longer misting session. I would consider putting in a misting system. They are not expensive and are very helpful not only for the chams to not depend on their humans but if you ever have to travel you just need someone to fill the reservoir. You do not risk someone not knowing what they are doing potentially harming your chams because your system is not automated to its fullest.
