Daytona Reptile Show Pictures August 2014

We had a great time at the show this year and my husband Mike made tons of pictures. I just got around to picking which ones to post. We attended the Turtle Talks Friday night, the show Sat. and Sun. and the USARK auction Sat. night. I think we were having so much fun at the auction Sat. night that no one remembered to made any pictures except maybe Cameron of the 3 hour old pizza he won.

I'll start with one from the Turtle Talks and then the rest are from the show. Enjoy!

I do have one from the auction. Reptiles magazine provided the food and were giving out copies of the Reptiles magazine.

Thanks for sharing all those great photos. It sounds like everyone had a great time. The pizza sounds tasty ;)

Wow you guys have a wide variety of chameleons in FL at your reptile shows.
Ours are very selective

Great photos! You paint a picture as if I was there. Oh wait I was! I spent most of my time socializing that I didn’t see a lot of these cool critters.

TeeHee. That guy, plus the few others, is currently sitting in my apartment. ;) After I left with you and Mike, Cameron went back into the show and surprised me with that group plus a cute little Petown cage for them to live in. I’ll post pix as soon as I can get some decent ones.

(Jann, I’ve been super busy since I got back but I’ll answer your PM’s and emails shortly)

Great photos! I'm going to have to visit one of these big shows soon. Colorado shows aren't even worth going to.

Agreed, I went to Repticon Denver last year and was SOOOOO disappointed. There was 1 Jackson's and 1 panther there and neither was for sale. They were both part of displays showing off cages. There were a good number of snakes and a few bearded dragons, but that was it. It only took me about 20 minutes to see everything they had to offer.

They should call them a "ball python show". I quit going. It costs $20 for my wife and I to go, just to see new python mutants.

Thank you for all the nice comments. The Daytona show is always awesome. :D

I appreciate the photos!

Do you happen to remember what kind of fish that long, eel-like species was? Very interesting.

I don't remember the name of "eel thing" or if it was even marked.

Congrats on the new little ones. I can't wait to see pictures. That was so kind of Cameron. :)

Who held the Tokay? 'Stupid is, as stupid does.' :D BRAVE!!!!

Not all Tokay gecko's are aggressive. We have members here on the forums with very tame ones. :)

Wow I'm so bummed. I wanted to go super bad but had to travel to MN this last week even though I've been living in Florida the past 6 months. Amazing pictures Jann, thank you for the post; it's nice seeing what was there.

As far as the "eel thing" it looks like it could be a species of bichir.
