Dark colors when sleeping

Hey guys, so lately my chameleon has had dark colors while sleeping. Ive seen him be yellow at night only a few times recently. What does this mean

My veiled after laying eggs maybe a day later was literally dark on one side and her regular light green on the other side. Very weird almost lik she was trying to absorb and retain light and heat but there was no light and the temp was fine... My guess was stress as can be the case for yours. But your case can very well be different.

Mine is a panther chameleon though. He is currently outside but i brought him inside due to the weather

what are your night time temperatures?

I am not sure but I find that weird. My panther is always brighter than can be at night. He is bright yellow and red right now as he is every night. I have never seen him dark ever. Not saying there is anything wrong, just a little strange I guess. I will notice every so often though if the cage is disturbed just ever so slightly he will immeditely start turning from yellow to green even if his eyes are closed the whole time.It is like he senses something going on but does not wake up. Is there anything that could be disturbing his sleeping pattern?

I am not familiar with what he is doing but it could be a reaction to you bringing him inside. Did it start when you brought him in or prior to that time?
