I use an electronic cigarette and I'm wondering if it dissipates quickly, will it still potentially hurt my panther chameleon that is in the same room as me?

Honestly I'm not really fully sure,

but maybe just whenever your using your electric ciggy :p just don't go near him or chill next to a window, or find out what kind of smoke the electric cigs produce then that may help a little more maybe?

sorry if that's not much help

I use a electronic ciggie to, I just dont blow it in their direction, but I am in
the same room.
No worries ;)

BTW, a recent study concluded that "second hand" smoke from electronic ciggies are
are not a health concern.

...and cigarettes used to dry up asthma... What else... radium laced water increased your health, xrays were safe enough for shoe store displays, thalidomide was harmless to pregnant women, phen fen was a great way to lose weight, heroin was a less addictive alternative to morphine, oxycontin was a less addictive alternative to morphine, chromium in your water won't hurt you, arsenic keeps your skin clear and light, cocaine toothache drops was a good idea for children, no need to be worried about asbestos dust... I could do this all day.

Not trying to pick a fight, just making a point about the "safety" of our products. We're all getting brain cancer from cell phones anyway :D

According to my neighbor my germy little chameleons will kill me way before my cell phone... Salmonella and some sort of flesh-eating bacteria.

Oh I know :)
It was only one study, maybe the next one will say the total opposit

Remember Woody Allen in "Bananas", where he goes into the future?
Smoking ciggies were found to be HEALTHY for you afterall !!?? :D

I am not an e-cig expert by any means but aren't they usually nicotine and flavorings suspended in water? If so, what is expelled would be mostly water vapor as nothing is actually "burning". I am going to take the middle ground- it may prove later that you are killing yourself with them but your little friend across the room should be fine.
Now if you see any studies about the adverse reactions to drinking wine in the same room as chameleons please post ASAP! :D

I'd say drinking wine was much more dangerous. Just think of all that online shopping you need for your Cham or future Cham ;)
Kath.

Chams and alcohol do not mix for precisely this reason. Only you can prevent superfluous online shopping.

I bought a tinker toy set off eBay during a wine influenced chameleon related shopping spree because I thought "Ferdinand will really like climbing on this!". $60 later and all I have is a bunch of old Tinker Toys... Let this be a cautionary tale for others.

As stated earlier, the e-cig is just water vapor. If anything, you're helping him/her out with added humidity! :D ;)
