Daedalus, My Faly-banja, Turns 2 Today

I'm sick as a dog today but it's Daedalus's hatchday today so I forced myself up and took a few photos of him on his big day. I can't believe he's only 2 years old, it feels like I've had him a lot longer!

Because I know people will ask despite the title, he's a Nosy faly x Ambanja cross :)

And his cage. The one pothos in the top corner really has filled in nicely, and it keeps on growing!

And now just a couple baby shots to reminisce.

Him at 2.5 months old.

I still find it amazing how he's changed.

Happy hatchday!!

hes so handsome Olimpia. You must be so proud!

how are his eggs doing? Cnat wait to see them hatch,, and possibly snag a baby boy. ;)

he is completely lovely. He may be a cross, but who cares when he looks like that? I assume he is the father of the eggs Camimom ask about? If not then you really have a "cross".

I like the picture timeline, watching them grow is so fun.

Thanks Jesse! I am, I love him to bits. He's a really good chameleon, and is always willing to eat!

The eggs are doing well, we're passed the 6 month mark. I am guesstimating another 2 months left, but we'll see how quickly they start growing in the coming weeks. I can't wait!

Laurie: Yes, he's the dad to a few eggs I have incubating. And thank you!

YAY!

So exciting!

I just passed my 3 month mark for my eggs, so I've still got a while to go.

I dont care if hes a cross or not, hes gorgeous, and those babies are going to be amazing!

Wow!!! That little man is Sooo colorful!!! I love his reds!!!

Are you by chance a Resistance fan? :) Daedalus is such a good name!!

Thanks!

Na, just a mythology nut lol. But thank you, my vets can't say his name at all. They just call him Douglas!

Love those turrets Olimpia! Nice looking cham. And I like the way you landscaped his cage with all those big branches. Happy hatch day Daed!

what technically constitutes a hatch day? Is it the moment they pip their shells, or leave their shells entirely? :)

sorry you are sick, but happy birthday Daedalus!

Thanks everyone!

Thanks Texas, he seems to like the thicker branches. Especially without a chunk of tail, I think he likes the stability! I wish I could do it with everyone else because it looks nicer, but everyone else has small feet and would slip right off! lol

I would think it's when you've emerged completely from the egg. Just breaking the egg is cheating!

Thanks Kevin!
