Currently prepping a grow tent enclosure

It's a work in progress, but I've seen this style of enclosure floating around for other reptiles, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I do have a few concerns, such as, I couldn't find a 2x2 mesh lid, so I tied two 24x12 inch mesh lids together and cut a hole out the top to secure it on for extra air flow...Buuut, this means there will be a blank spot for the UVB, so I'll have to consider what the best placement is.
The other being drainage. I'm thinking I'll drill holes, and then use hot glue on the edges so water isn't continuously touching fabric.

Overall, though, it seems like a good fit for a female chameleon, considering the massive amount of privacy for egg laying.

I used this type of enclosure for a young tropical tortoise. I recommend covering the shiny sides with a tarp or shower curtain because even though its blurry, the reflections can still cause enough of a reaction to worry about stress (my tort would bite at the reflections). And chameleons have those sensitive peepers. If you need to sew on more mesh, a leather upholstery needle can get through the material.

I'm very interested in how this turns out!

Yes I was going to cover the sides with a shower curtain because I too was concerned if the reflection and overall brightness would hurt her eyes.

I'll keep this posted :) I also need to get more sticks, to make up for the lack of screen climbing.

Uhh is the bottom fern nom nom safe? I know most ferns are non toxic, but several will give upset stomach if made a meal. I also see you are part of the govee master race for your hydrometer, mine matched my lab calibrated one at work :)

It's this type of fern:

Apparently a dwarf version of the Boston Fern. I see the chameleon academy has Nephorlepis exaltata listed, but it's not labelled "veiled tested" (a panther is going in if that makes a difference!)
If it's too risky I'll definitely remove it and continue trying to grow it out as a neat looking houseplant instead!

Govee seems great also. It can tolerate a lot of water 💦

Are you going to make the lay bin bioactive? I'm considering making mine bioactive, but am unsure if it's a good idea.

Oh, no, I can't wrap my head around bioactive and I'm too scared to try and introduce potential pests.
People that can work it out though, very jealous of their set ups. Clean up crews sound awesome!
