Cropping Images

Hi all,

I am on a Mac. I take a lot of photos, and go, "gee, that would look so much better cropped," but I never, ever bother to crop. I use a Canon and the associated software, but I end up cropping with Preview since it's much easier and quicker; however, it's still a pain in the butt to copy to clipboard and save as a new image. Call me lazy, but it ends up taking a minute or so to crop each image.

Is there a Mac-friendly software that you can mass crop images with? Something more convenient and quicker than Preview?

Thanks,
Drew

you can crop with iPhoto, that comes on your Mac. I use Photoshop, but I do a lot of photography.

iPhoto will allow you to make minor edits and adjustments including cropping. :)

Don't you guys hate how iPhoto automatically files things according to the date they were taken? Or, is this optional?

I used iPhoto on day 1, but the date thing frustrated me so I never opened it again.

I think that's optional. You can arrange however you like. I used to import a set of pictures from a file, and that would create an album of whatever pics I wanted. You can also upload directly from your camera into iPhoto.

I hate Preview, the viewing quality is really bad (it's a bit blurry).
