I have a juvenile veiled chameleon and a panther chameleon that I recently adopted. (they are in seperate houses) I woke up EARLY this am to find that my panther was fast asleep while my veiled was wide awake. She (in my opinion looked really tired..but I could just be crazy) She ususally sleeps thru the night but last night before I went to bed I accidentally dumped WAY too many crickets in her cage and was unable to fish them all back out. I have read that you are not supposed to leave more crickets in the cage than the animal will eat in 30 mintues and that leaving crickets in the cage overnight will bother the chameleon but then I read in "The Chameleon Handbook" to always keep crickets in the cage as junvenile chameleons need to eat round the clock. Any thoughts or suggestions? I want to make sure that my little ones live a long and happy life.
