Crested Gecko Shed

My wife's cresty, Stanley is about a year old. He lives in a Exo-Terra crested gecko terrarium. He eats gecko food and occasionally a cricket or 2 for a treat.
We haven't seen him shed at all this entire time. He would get foggy, but then he's bright again before we know it. We were told by the Gecko Junkie that they eat it, so we never worried.
About 3 days ago, we noticed he had some shed hanging off of him. I didn't worry because he's bigger, and I figured they get more difficult like chameleons, and I noticed that with Gary, my veiled.
But the shed persists. We just did the wet q-tip thing, and at first he seemed to appreciate it, but I guess we hit a tender spot, because he jumped. We stopped after that. My wife and I are a little worried, we know that she'd left on can harden and hurt him.
She's not a member of a gecko forum, she hasn't found one she trusts.
Any Crested Gecko folks out there than can help? I'd really appreciate it. Also appreciated would be a gecko forum reference.

Thanks!

Greg

You can give him a "bath". Where you put him in a tubberware with a cloth and warm water. There are a lot of YouTube videos on it.

Where is the shed stuck? Honestly depending on where it was stuck I would move him into a less ventilated Tupperware enclosure... maybe something that has decent sized holes poked in it and then do a nice warm mist for him. Cresties remind me of chams in the way that most don't do great with baths and instead do best with a makeshift steam shower. Lol

It's still on his head, almost to the neck, and on his back, stomach, toes, and shoulders. . .everywhere.
Thanks!
