Crested Chameleons

So we where thinking about getting some crested chameleons. I know they are wild caught and all the warnings that come along with WC chams.

Does anyone keep cresteds on here? I read they do better in a glass terrarium rather than a screen cage because they need high humidly.

Yes I saw them. sweet! and in FL too!

I was wondering if it was true they need a glass tank? I have a 50 gal tall aquarium I thought I could use but I wanted to be sure. I would hate to get one and have it die from improper husbandry.

I just can't find that much info on them.

An aquarium is made for fish not for chameleons btw. Buy a normal terrarium like this one: http://www.terrarientechnik.de/popup_image.php/pID/4/imgID/0
They need high humidity and a good misting/dripping system. And an experienced keeper. Without this they are hard to keep for longer than just a few months.

i keep mina as a pair in a wooden viv.

dont use a very bright light. and keep them at first in a small viv. so you can take care that they eat and drink enough.
dont supplement as much. and let it rain very often. i keep my WC pair since 15 14 months now and paired them up after 8 months. eggs are still doing great.

No, haven't got any yet.... They are still on our 'WANTED' list. I see them occasionally for sale on kingsnake ... always WC.
