Could i use this as a basking light?

i found this for $2 today at Lowe’s could i use this as a basking light?

You could use it but it will probably to hot. If you have plants use an incandescent plant light, which will help with plant growth. You can use a regular incandescent bulb. I use a 65 watt plant light myself.
If you do use that make sure you check the temps so you don't burn your chameleon.

I’m going to use it as a backup light just Incase his normal one stops working (which it did today) and the branch is 85 degrees i hate these eco terra lights
