cool mist humidifier

I was told these are helpful with keeping humidity up, I'm wondering how often/when I should run it? I have been doing it all day with the fog aimed up around where he basks. He seems to like sitting next to it, but I wasn't sure if I should have it on all day and aimed in the cage.

It all depends on your humidity. Before I bought a Mistking, I had a dripper and the humidifier, which would run for 2 out of 3 hours on a 14 hour cycle.

I have one and I run it all day and night right now to keep humidity up for both by cham and ball python.

My humidity was getting pretty low a lot even with heavy mistings and my cham has had some stubborn pieces of shed over the last few weeks. since I've added it my few analog hygrometers are saying 50-70% based on when I mist. I just wasn't sure if it could run all day and if the fog would cause any issues. I have it going around his basking spot up top.

Spend an extra buck and you can have one with a hygrostat and just set it to a % humidity and leave it on 24/7...

I don't have my humidifier running in my cham cage. I have it about 2 feet away and it does the whole room.

Only problem could be mold, fungus and bacteria growth. If that is not an issue, then run it!

okay cool thanks, Maybe I'll put it on a timer and run it few hours a day up where he sits.

BTW with this do you mean inside the humidifier or in the cage from having too high of humidity?

Inside the cage, but also within the humidifier. I used a hose to pump in the mist from a Vicks Ultrasonic humidifier, but if the loop of the tube was lower than the end output, it collected water and clogged up. That would also breed bugs.
