Cooked Chameleon

I considered putting a free range next to a window on the east side of my home so I did a quick temp check. Mind you it only 9AM and just 59 degrees here in the northeast...

My wired probe is holding steady at 108+ degrees at the window! I’m sure if I tested a foot or more away from the window it would drop significantly but this is a good example of why heat measurements need to be taken.

Also, the window temp drops significantly as the sun rises above this window (around noon). At that point it is hitting hitting the roof and finally sets to strike the west side of the home

This is why you do not put chams in windows where they get direct sun. It gets really hot and can kill your chameleon.

Maybe lol I really thought this was going to be , “ I was on a Facebook group and someone posted a chameleon recipe” my head and the places it takes me

Maybe if I was stranded and starving without help in Yemen I would turn to veieled chams for survival but for now I’ll stick to poultry, pork, and beef!
