Constipated Female

Texas Panther Man

I bred my female panther 10 days ago. She has been eatting less but still eatting. She has been drinking copious amounts of water. She's always been a big drinker compared to my other chams. She has been eatting less so I didnt think anything was wrong when she had pooped alot less than normal. So today i go home for lunch to mist everyone and I see why she hasnt been eatting much. She crapped what had to be the biggest cham poo I've ever seen. It kind of feaked me out. So I was wondering if anyones female chams have gotten constipated after a breeding session? Her urates were normal white. the tip had a tinge of yellow but it had been sitting there for an hr or so before i found it.

Do you have a container of washed playsand in the cage with her that she can dig in when/if she needs to lay eggs?

As for the constipation...sorry...I've never noticed that happening.

Yes, Ive got a bin. Thats not the issue at hand though. My question was has anyone noticed their females become constipated after breeding? As Ive never had this occur before with any of my other females.

ive not noticed it after breeding but after laying my female usually done a very large poo almost looked like it was to big to even fit in her body:D

Bradley, mine did that like a week after breeding. Like I said i hadnt noticed she hadnt gone in a few days because sometimes she goes and it disapears into the planter before i find it. But then a few days ago I noticed she had poo'd about triple the normal sized ones. (sorry no pics) But it was almost as long and big as an adult hornworm.
