Okay two updates, cham fam:
(1) I've had Alice for a week now and she seems to be doing great! Took her 2 days before she felt comfortable enough to eat, but she's been a little piggy since then. Definitely getting more and more used to my presence, too, so here's hoping she becomes less and less shy with time. We're getting along pretty well, except we argue on the daily about whether or not she ought to be upside-down on the screen when I have literally over a dozen lush plants and many perches to choose from

(2) Now
this is where things get even more exciting (and unexpected). I was contacted yesterday by a MN-local chameleon keeper (Hi Josh, if you're seeing this!) who's focusing mostly on Parson's these days, and who happens to have a 1 year-old male cb carpet chameleon (also produced by Frank Payne, but unrelated to my girl) that he offered to give me free of charge. While I was certainly not planning on adding on to my personal jungle, this opportunity just seems way too good to pass up! Once in a lifetime. What are the odds that, after all my months searching, there's what I've been looking for right here in my home town. Not a guaranteed thing yet, but I'm too excited not to share!! If all goes well, I may be able to produce some cb Midwestern lateralis in the not so distant future!
p.s. bonus pic of Alice with a fruit fly hat on (sorry for the crap quality pic)
