Combining Misting System Elements?

Quick question... Does anyone know if the tubing from aquazamp is the same size and compatible with the exo terra monsoon?

I'm thinking of getting a rain dome from Aquazamp and hooking it up to my monsoon. Has anyone done this with success? I'm kind of hoping this works because the kit from Aquazamp has better nozzles.

I'd rather not get an entirely new misting system, btw, since I seem to be one of the lucky few that's not experienced a malfunction with the monsoon.

Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure if the Monsoon will be powerful enough for that. It has a pretty small motor.

That's fair. I just recently got the screameleons set up kit and it came with a pretty pathetic mister (I was expecting as much), but I made a DIY rain dome out of a plastic planter and it works great now, no overspray and nice rain effect

I'll probably do something similar with the monsoon I have. I know a lot of people hate monsoon, but I've yet to see a problem with mine so far.

jcarlsen that is awesome!can you provide more info on the specs of your setup?

Thanks!

Umm, I basically bought the ultimate setup kit from screameleons here:http://shop.screameleons.com/portal...aspx?alias=Screameleons&lang=en-US&tabID=3365

The mister that came with it is this thing here: http://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-Habba-Mist-Mister/dp/B001F9COBI
As you can see, the reviews are pretty meh. When I tried it in the enclosure, it was more of a spray, no matter how I dialed it, and it went all over the floor.

So the rain dome wound up being stupidly simple for me. I was looking for a plastic tupperware or even half a gallon jug or something, and then I came across this plastic plant holder thing at the hardware store, and it already had holes in the bottom. I unscrewed the nozzle and stuck the grooves through and used the nozzle to secure it. I was originally going to superglue and whatnot, but this wound up being much simpler than I'd imagined. Couple of pictures below. Sorry to a bit wordy!
