Colours and age

Hey all,

Recently had to go away for work for seven weeks and left my cham with a trusted pet shop.

Happily when i came back he had grown/shed and seems to be gaining colour.

He is a red bar ambanja about a year old which makes me question if he will change in colour more as he matures?

At a few months old he had a red belly/chin but lost the red as he grew...until now. He had some flecks of red on his legs and chin which he had lost.

The sire was fully red on chin/legs and stripes but after his red faded i figured he would stay green.

Can i expect more colour change or is it just mood based?

He will continue to change colors all through his life. You should be seeing even more color in the next few months.

Thats what i figured. He shed again since he came back and i am seeing colours that he has never shown.

Super excited for the future, thought he was gonna be shades of green but now fingers crossed for sky blue, yellow, red in future!

They tend to continue to color up until they are about 24 months. After that they usually stay those colors for the most part.
