Colour question

Hi everyone

My male veiled Rio is 14 months old now.

My question is...

Currently his colours range from a burgundy brown to lime green with black marks and gold bands...

I've seen a lot of veiled's with turquoise colours, is this genetics/maturity? I am just wondering if he will ever inherit a lovely blue colour too?

In his vivarium he has a multitude of plants and vines but there all green/brown, no blues... I know they don't alter their colour to match their environment but would introducing blue items encourage new colouration or help at least?

Thanks guys

Yah introducing blue into the mix won't make a bit of difference unless it makes him mad. Like alphakenc said his colors will become more intense if he is excided, or angry. Their colors change all the time be patient he might still show those turquoise blues you like.

I know that in female veilds the blue means the female is in a receptive state of mind.

Maybe it's true for males as well?
