I ordered a large number of Eublaberus posticus. When the order came I opened the box to find a bunch of Blaptica dubia! So I contacted the seller, who then told me that I was basically wrong and that they were Eublaberus posticus and not blaptica dubia. Let me say that if you have ever seen (let alone own) the two roaches, it is incredibly hard to mistake them for each other.
I asked how the seller wanted to handle the issue, and you know what they told me? They told me to sell the roaches myself because they sent me well over what I paid for! They sent me a good deal on the original species, but not dubias! I would have to sell the dubia at almost 1.5X the price I normally do to get my money back! I don't even like to sell roaches I haven't bred myself, so how on earth am I supposed to sell ones that I can't even assure the quality of for almost twice my normal price?
Blagh. I just wanted to rant to some people who might understand. When I talk to people not online, they just try not to laugh or make the "ew" face because I bought roaches.
