That’s awesome!!Why is he so clingy lol anytime he hears me he climbs to the door to come out, just hangs out on my sweater for a few minutes than goes back in![]()
Chameleons are not the best reptiles for a handling pet. Your chameleon my like you, however probably not the handling. Most chameleon species are notorious recluses. Why is he so clingy lol anytime he hears me he climbs to the door to come out, just hangs out on my sweater for a few minutes than goes back in![]()
Well he has a reptibreeze xl with all live plants, sticks and climbing, water source, his uvb and heat and are humidity are all at the perfect and he has a variety diet. That is unusual for a veiled. Usually the only thing they want with us is food. Often when a chameleon (especially veileds) is wanting to come out to and on us, they are not happy with their enclosures for whatever reason…too small, not enough plants or branches, wrong uvb, wrong temps or humidity, etc. I suggest checking, rechecking and then checking again to make certain that he has everything just right for him. Only after that can we really determine that they are friendly/desiring our company. I have had male panthers that run to me as soon as I open their doors and just want to sit on my hand/arm. I continue to look for a reason with my current guy and all I see is he’s bored. My other current ‘friendly’ Panther boy only comes out to me because he keeps thinking he can eat my eyeballs if he gets close enough.
