climbing on screen

my 8 mo old panther had a case of MBD when he was around 4 months, his right front leg is deformed from it but the rest of him seems fine accoring to the vet. recently he has been climbing on the screen almost non stop no matter how much foliage/ vines i put in there. he has fell a few times because he is getting kinda big to climb on the screen but has never fell while on his vines. what els can i do to stop him from screen climbing???

some people put a larger mesh inside the screen, i dont know what it is called but it has about 1inch squares and is metal covered in green rubber or plastic, i belive it is used for plants, kinda like a lattace
dont know if that helps at all

i think i have some left over from screening in my split rail fence, i guess i could go over the inside of the cage with it but i thought he might grow out of it like my veiled.
