Cleaning mist heads

There have probably been posts about this in the past but does anyone know a safe and effective way to clean mist king heads up really good? Some of mine are clogged up :\ I've heard that boiling vinegar is the best method. Thoughts? Any advice on the subject greatly appreciated!

When I clean the pumps in my reef aquarium, I dilute white vinegar with water (4 to 1) in a bucket and run the pump overnight, I assume the same process can be used for mist heads, just make sure you flush it out well with fresh water before reconnecting it to your system.
