Whats the best way to clean my chameleon cage? possibly wash it in the shower? and whats the best way to give frost a shower?

(as you all can tell i have a lot more free time on my hands since the college semester is over)

I just did a deep clean today when i added my new ficus tree. i use a 1 to 9 part bleach water solution spray it on the screen and then scrub it with a little green scrub pad thats used for dishes. i wouldn't worry about showering him unless hes really dehydrated, or is having shed issues. its a lot of stress from just about everything i have read. i did it 2 times when my guy was having issues from a light thinking it may have been shed in his eye he HATED it. i wouldn't put the cage in the shower, because with metal if it sits in water it will rust

ya he has a misting system so he definitley wont need a shower than, but i should could scrub the inside of that cage

periodically yes. the environment if you keep the poop cleaned up is relatively clean, and probably once every 1-3 months give it a good scrub down. and this will mainly depend on the chams amount of stress taking him out and putting him somewhere is. if he doesnt mind, and you have a screen porch, or an outside cage he will love to get out and soak real sun in allowing you to easily do it 1 time a month

Me too:D

I use a mild bleach and water soultion as well, i do a deep clean about once a month where everything comes out of the cage and it gets the bleach water.

When i wasn't living in an apartment i would do this outside. I had a hook on a tree and i would hang the cages out and scrub them then blast them with the hose. Now that i am in an apartment i do it in the shower (just be sure to clean the shower realllllllllllllly good when your done.)
