Chia sprouts

Does anyone know if Chia sprouts are a safe nomable food for veiled chams? Mines been eating grazing the tops of my chia patch the past few days and has been fine, wondering if anyone else does this

theyre meant for human consumption/ no pesticides etc

grow pretty much anywhere, even the sink if you dont flush them down the drain
