eek! I wasn't expecting her to birth till late Aug or early Sept. Came home to retrieve cell phone and she is dropping half formed pearls and babies in sacs Am checking to make sure there are no crickets left in the viv for all's sakes. Will update this PM.

The news is not good. 19 unformed or partial formed fetuses and 8 fully formed -- while they all burst through the sac, none were able to kick free of the umbilical. As I write, only one lingers in slow movement with eyes closed.

While he breathes, he is Gohan.

I had just split D. Melan. and Heidi last week anticipating pygs. I was not expecting this. I am very sad.

On a positive note: Chi-Chi appears well, exhausted but well.

Think softly of the dead and celebrate the living.

Im sorry for all the deaths.
Is it common for all of those deaths with life bearers?

Amen. So sorry for your loss.

The female may have had a issue you were unaware of that caused her to deliver the babies early. If she was that early then most likely they were not meant to live. Very sorry you loss all those little ones. That is one of the reasons I have yet to breed my jacksons.

:( Gohan has passed on to the"big Freerange":(

I calculated 153 days into gestation, from what I have read 170-220 is the average gestation period. I am going to squarely put the blame on myself for lack of proper husbandry. With the number of fetuses she was carrying she obviously did not receive proper care she needed. Currently she is doing well and is back to eating. I do not think I will allow her to breed again.

Thank you all for your kindness.
