I just thought I would show you all this great cage I scored. This was a server cage at my place of employment. It was being thrown out so I thought it would make a great home for one of my chameleons. The thing is huge, 6 feet tall by 3 feet deep by 2 feet wide. All the screening was in place, I just had to add plants and the lights. Thought you would enjoy seeing it.

Don't know what a server cage is other than beautiful! Great score! WOWOWOWOW I really like it you lucky person you.

I have a female veiled cham in it at the moment. She is about 3 years old and seems to love the walking space it offers.

Jan, a server cage is a big closed in area to hold computers that controlled parts of the building. It has a lock on it so no one could get to the computers.

Thats a pretty nice enclosure to just house a computer. Musta been a top secret computer eh? :) Awesome nonetheless!!:)

Not really Betty, computer servers generate heat (not good for sensitive equipment) so whilst being protected must also be well ventilated, hence the cage.

Nice score! lucky you, looks perfect!

I always knew that chameleons were smarter than servers anyway

The plan all along was to get folks to build "server cages" that would end up chameleon mansions. Tom Sawyer got nothing on chameleons.

Gorgeous, btw.

What kind of dripper do you have? It looks really interesting!

The dripped is something I made out of a pet watering jug. It normally sits in a resorvoir but my cats didn't like it so I used a rubber stopped in the mouth of it, connected it to a plastic drip tube and I hang it on the side of the cage. The tube goes through the screen as the holes in the screen are quite large. An aquarium air valve regulates the drip.
